How DawnShft works

Last updated October 7, 2026

DawnShft is a private trading operating system—not an automatic signal service. Bring your own strategy; keep judgment, risk, and execution with you.

DawnShft operationalizes the strategy; you execute the strategy.

Your markets, Desk Rules, confirmations, invalidations, and waiting conditions define the process. DawnShft connects context, participation evidence, lineage, coherence, reflection and evolution without becoming the strategy or the trader.

The complete Desk loop

01 · Define02 · Read03 · Map04 · Wait05 · Qualify06 · Plan07 · Risk08 · Earn participation09 · Execute10 · Review11 · Evolve

01 · Define

Make your process explicit

Choose the markets you trade and write clear Desk Rules for what qualifies, confirms, invalidates, and requires WAIT. Strategy Articulation can later surface where a rule may benefit from clearer wording, but DawnShft never changes that rule for you.

02 · Read + Map

Build context before action

Start with the Morning Brief and Market Pulse, then review Structure Scan and Chart Reflection. D1/H4/H1 carry structural authority; M30/M15 are precision lenses only. Changing timeframe changes what you observe, not what DawnShft qualifies. Structure retains the evidence behind its read, revalidates it as conditions change, and does not assume continuity where evidence is missing.

03 · Wait + Qualify

Let the setup earn attention

WAIT is a valid product output. DawnShft withholds qualification when the trader-defined conditions are absent. A setup is surfaced only when the observable market criteria align; DawnShft does not invent a strategy to create activity.

04 · Plan + Risk

Define the trade before capital

Create a saved Trade Plan with direction, setup type, entry, stop, thesis, invalidation, and risk. Add a fixed target only when your strategy uses one. The plan records intention before execution and gives DawnShft evidence it can later compare with what actually happened.

05 · Earn Participation

Use Operator Intelligence

OI-1 observes existing DawnShft evidence across MARKET, PLAN, RISK, and OPERATOR. It explains whether participation is NOT AVAILABLE, WAIT, or EARNED—and why. EARNED means the observable gates cleared; it is never an order or command to trade.

06 · Execute + Review

You act. DawnShft closes the loop.

You retain judgment, risk sizing, entry, management, and broker execution. Journal the result and review Process Adherence and Process Read. Optional read-only MT5 context can show DawnShft what actually occurred without giving it execution authority.

07 · Evolve

Read the trail your process leaves behind

Operator Evolution looks across historical decision and process evidence. Strategy Articulation can surface structural evidence that an active rule may benefit from clarification. Source Reflection can preserve what that active rule is based on. These reflections remain inspectable and never become trading authority or silently rewrite Strategy.

Automatic Desk cadence

DawnShft refreshes through the trading day

DawnShft reassesses automatically across the trading day. Asia begins with a Structure reassessment at 01:00 UTC, followed by the Full Desk and main Brief at 07:30 London. Structure continues to reassess through the remaining sessions. Run Desk remains available for manual reassessment. WAIT remains valid.

01:00 UTC · Asia Structure

07:30 London · Full Desk / Main Brief

11:30 London · Structure

13:45 London · Structure

15:30 London · Structure

19:30 London · Structure

Run Desk is intentional. Use it when you deliberately want a fresh full assessment outside the normal automatic cadence—not as a routine refresh button.

Continuity layer · MCC

Market Context Continuity

MCC quietly preserves bounded market context across the active week so the Brief and Structure generation paths can read what came before instead of treating every refresh as isolated. It does not create setups, qualify trades, or become a second trading authority.

Restraint is part of the design. A successful background MCC check is not the same thing as a user-facing refresh. If Brief or Structure has not refreshed, its existing read remains the visible Desk state. When either surface genuinely refreshes, DawnShft shows the refresh time on that surface.

Operator Intelligence · OI-1

Explainable participation, not hidden authority

OI uses data already available inside DawnShft. It does not create setups, edit your Desk Rules, execute trades, or use generative AI as trading authority. Open a gate to see what DawnShft observed, where the evidence came from, and what is missing.

If DawnShft Knows It, The Trader Should Be Able To Understand Why DawnShft Knows It.

OI evidence refreshes every 15 seconds while the panel is open and is considered fresh for 30 seconds. Its freshness status stays visible as CHECKING, FRESH, STALE, or UNAVAILABLE. Market closure may change the evidence state; it does not change what OI is or hide its explanation.

Relationship model · v9

Convergent Reasoning

DawnShft does not rely on a single condition to determine whether participation is supported. Your strategy defines what matters. MCC preserves how relevant context evolves. OI-1 evaluates the current participation evidence.

DawnShft reasons across those existing states together without creating a score, signal, prediction, or separate trading authority. Strategy remains the authority for qualification and invalidation; MCC remains descriptive continuity evidence; OI-1 remains the participation evaluator.

Process evidence · Reasoning Lineage

Preserving how the reasoning changed

DawnShft can preserve meaningful changes in its own reasoning state over time as process evidence. When a saved plan becomes an execution, the relevant fresh plan-linked reasoning state can be preserved alongside that commitment so later review can distinguish:

what the Desk required → what DawnShft knew → what the trader did

That history is outcome-independent. Later P&L does not rewrite the reasoning that existed at execution: a winning trade can still represent poor process, and a losing trade can still represent correct process. When no fresh exact-plan reasoning observation exists, DawnShft preserves that absence rather than inventing one, and execution remains with the trader.

Longitudinal process · Operator Evolution

Your process leaves a trail

Operator Evolution reads across evidence already created by your strategy, plans, journal, process reviews, and—where available—Decision Lineage. It can surface supported strengths, recurring friction, context affinity, and changes in process adherence without turning P&L into the definition of improvement.

Older trades remain useful as journal and process evidence, but DawnShft does not reconstruct Strategy, MCC, or reasoning states that were never historically captured. New lineage-backed decisions carry the deeper decision trail forward.

If DawnShft Says You've Changed, You Should Be Able To See The Trail That Proves It.

Operator Evolution is evidence and guidance—not a score, signal, personality label, profitability prediction, or new trading authority. It cannot silently change Strategy, OI participation, MCC, risk ownership, or execution.

Clearer rules over time · Strategy Articulation

DawnShft can reflect where your own rules may need more precision

Start with the rules you know. As the Desk accumulates structural evidence, Strategy Articulation can surface narrow observations such as a compound rule or repeated UNKNOWN evidence. It does not decide what your strategy should be.

Review it, keep the rule as written, or dismiss it for now. Only an explicit trader edit can create a new Strategy Lineage version. Strategy Articulation adds no score, no automatic rewrite and no new execution authority.

What your rules are based on · Source Reflection

Same philosophy. Different mirror.

Operator Evolution reflects your process over time. Source Reflection reflects your active strategy back against the material it came from. Start with a simple question: What is this rule based on? Write or paste the note, principle, lesson, or excerpt, then choose the active Desk Rule it supports or explains.

Source Reflection does not need another AI request to preserve this relationship. It does not guess what differently worded material means or silently move an old source link when your strategy changes. If the rule changes later, the old source stays tied to the version you originally linked.

Your source is a reference, not an instruction to DawnShft. You remain the authority, and the active rules you have defined remain the strategy DawnShft operates.

Source Reflection can show Aligned, Partial, Tension, or Insufficient source and lets you open the underlying source details when you want them. Those states never change qualification, OI-1, MCC, Structure, risk, journal logic, execution, or the rule itself.

DawnShft guides the operating process. It does not replace trader judgment, risk ownership, or execution authority.

How to read a setup

Structure and participation stay separate: Bullish / Bearish / Ranging is Structure; WAIT / Setup is participation. No qualified setup means Chart Reflection stays observational. When one qualifies, it can reflect qualified geometry. OI can still show WAIT when plan, risk, or operator evidence is incomplete.

DawnShft qualifies → DawnShft reflects → you decide → your broker executes.

Make your Desk Rules useful

Rules work best when they are personal, observable, and specific enough to guide a decision under pressure. DawnShft does not create a strategy for you; it helps make your strategy visible, repeatable and reviewable, can surface where an active rule may benefit from clearer articulation, and—when you choose to preserve source evidence—can keep that rule traceable back to the material behind it.

  • Qualification context: identify the markets, timeframes, sessions, levels, locations, indicators, or other conditions your method actually uses.
  • Entry confirmation: state what must happen before entry, such as a retest, rejection, market-structure shift, close, or volume condition.
  • Invalidation and risk: define where the idea is wrong, the risk you accept, and how you manage a live plan.
  • No-trade conditions: name the situations your own process defines as requiring restraint, including any market, session, event, attempt-limit or operator-state constraints you use.

Write one clear rule per line. Subjective commitments remain human commitments unless DawnShft has legitimate evidence for them. OI observes supported evidence; it never pretends to know what it cannot know.

Yearly Pro Desk tools

  • Chart Context: upload or capture a clean, unmarked chart. DawnShft independently applies your saved Desk Rules to the visible price structure, returns only supportable strategy-native context, and may correctly return no mapped location. The image is discarded after analysis; the reviewed reading remains in your Desk until you update or delete it.
  • Chart Alignment: compares DawnShft’s confirmed independent Chart Context reading with its current Structure Scan. It adds visual context; it never silently changes setup qualification.
  • Location Presence: lets an open Desk keep a selected strategy-defined numeric location in view using the displayed Market Pulse price. It is not a background, broker, or tick-price alert.
  • Read-only MT5: brings compatible broker-backed account, exposure, and reference-price context into DawnShft. It cannot place, modify, or close trades.

Keep the Desk honest

Refresh Chart Context when the visible chart evidence relevant to your strategy has materially changed. Revisit mapped locations after material changes when your strategy uses them. Keep saved plans aligned with what you actually intend to execute. Complete the Journal and process review after the trade. Do not treat any DawnShft output—including OI EARNED—as financial advice, a promise of outcome, or permission to skip risk management.

Yearly Pro: want automatic account updates and broker-aligned Desk pricing? Follow the separate MT5 setup guide. The connection is read-only and cannot place, modify, or close trades.

The DawnShft Promise

A calmer place to make your decisions

DawnShft is built to take pressure out of the process—not to promise outcomes.

It gives you a calmer place to prepare, wait, plan, understand whether participation has been earned, execute through your own broker, review around your own rules, and reflect on both the process trail and the source evidence you deliberately preserve. It does not place trades, provide financial advice, or replace your judgement.

Use the context. Respect your process. Let discipline lead.

“DawnShft is here to support better decisions—never to push more trades.”
